XRechnung

The XML file in both syntaxes, UBL and CII. Credit notes included.

Note Note

ZUGFeRD and Factur-X

The PDF with an embedded invoice. The viewer extracts the invoice data from the PDF by itself.

Tools Tools

Peppol

Invoices following Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, as they arrive over the Peppol network.

A PDF without embedded invoice data, such as a scan, cannot be read. The viewer tells you so instead of showing an empty page.

What you see

You see the invoice laid out like a paper document: invoice number, date and amount due at the top, then seller and buyer, the line items, VAT and totals. If the invoice names several bank accounts, all of them are shown. Attachments such as a delivery note in PDF form can be viewed and saved on the spot.

What the viewer recalculates for you

The viewer recalculates line amounts, VAT and totals. If an amount does not add up, the field is marked in red, with the stated and the recalculated amount below it. A missing mandatory field, a due date before the invoice date or an IBAN with a wrong check digit stand out immediately as well.

This does not replace a full validation. Whether an invoice meets all the rules of its specification is for a validator to judge.

Does my invoice stay confidential?

Yes. The file is read in your browser and not sent to a server. There is no upload, no account and no storage.

Using the viewer permanently

For your own computer, the intranet or SharePoint the viewer is available as an app: unzip a ZIP, double-click one file, done. For your WordPress website it is available as a free plugin.
