eInvoice Rule Studio for VAMPIRE

Paid product · App · For VAMPIRE JS and VAMPIRE PHP

Your own validation rules for e-invoices, without writing XPath.

Does your organization require more from every e-invoice than the official rules, such as an order number, a certain payment method or a maximum amount? With the Rule Studio you write such rules yourself, from ten building blocks, and try them right away on a real invoice.

The result is a rule profile that the validation engine VAMPIRE applies on top of the official rules of EN 16931, XRechnung and Peppol: VAMPIRE JS in the browser, VAMPIRE PHP on the server.

What you do with the Rule Studio

  • Create a profile

With name, version, title, syntax and prefix, and you decide which official rule sets it applies to.

  • Rules from ten building blocks

For example “is present”, “is one of”, “number comparison”, “sum equals the sum of” and “if present, requires”. You choose the fields by BT number and name.

  • Adapt official rules

You search the official rules and switch one off with a reason, replace it with a rule of your own or change its severity.

  • Testbench

You try the profile on an invoice and see the result with the profile next to the result of the official rules alone.

  • Export

You export the profile as files for the apps and for the server and open it again later to continue.

  • Two languages

The interface comes in English and German.

Who the Rule Studio is for

For everyone who decides what an e-invoice must additionally fulfil in their own organization: accounting, specialist departments, IT and consultancies. You then check with the profile in the eInvoice Validator for VAMPIRE or in an app with VAMPIRE JS.

As an app

One folder, one double click, no account

The Rule Studio is an app: a folder that you unpack and open with a double click. You need no WordPress, no server, no installation and no account, and the page loads nothing from the internet. The folder contains VAMPIRE JS with the official rule sets for the testbench. In Chrome and Edge, the studio can write the profile directly into a folder.

What the Rule Studio deliberately does not do

  • There is no expert mode for freely written check expressions (XPath) in this version.
  • The testbench reads XML in UBL and CII only, no PDF.
  • A profile applies to exactly one syntax; for UBL and CII you create two profiles.
  • The studio does not save on its own; your work is safe once you have exported it.
  • It does not check invoices in day-to-day operation; VAMPIRE does that.
