Correct an e-invoice without opening another program.

Was your invoice rejected because a field is missing or wrong? With the Editor you open it in the same document view as in the viewer, only every field is an input field. You change the value, have the totals recalculated and save the invoice as XML again.

Without an open invoice, you enter a new invoice by hand. With one click you hand the corrected invoice back to the viewer, which shows and checks it.

What the Editor does for you

Edit every field
Every field shows the value as it stands in the XML and takes your change. Empty fields can be filled too, for example a missing mandatory field.
Lines
You add and remove invoice lines.
Recalculate totals
One click recalculates line amounts, VAT breakdown and totals and names every total with its old and new amount. The Editor never recalculates on its own, so you see what you change.
Save in the right syntax
The invoice is saved as XML in the syntax it came in, UBL or CII.
Back to the viewer
“Show in viewer” hands the edited invoice back to the viewer, which shows and checks it like any other.
Enter an invoice
Without an open invoice, the Editor starts an empty one.

Who the Editor is for

For everyone who must quickly correct a rejected e-invoice without changing their invoicing program, and for small businesses that occasionally enter an e-invoice by hand. The Editor is an add-on for the free eInvoice Viewer.

App and plugin

In the viewer app and in the WordPress plugin

In the app you unpack the add-on into the folder of the viewer app; afterwards the toolbar shows “Enter invoice”. Next to the one-file app, the single file einvoice-viewer-editor.js is enough. There the Editor works entirely in the browser.

In the WordPress plugin you install the Editor as a plugin of its own next to the free viewer plugin and decide under “Available from role” who sees it.

What the Editor deliberately does not do

It does not recalculate on its own; totals change only with “Recalculate totals”.
For a ZUGFeRD or Factur-X PDF it changes only the XML; the visible document stays as it was, and the Editor says so.
It keeps no number ranges, no customer list and no filing.
