eInvoice Validation Explorer for KoSIT

From rule ID to a sentence anyone can follow

A report from the official KoSIT validator, the validation program of KoSIT (the German Coordination Office for IT Standards), is written for specialists. It lists rule IDs such as BR-CO-10 and XPath expressions, which are technical locations in the XML. eInvoice Validation Explorer for KoSIT turns that into an explanation that accounting staff, service providers and developers can act on: which field is meant, which value is actually there and what the rule requires.

What makes it special

• Every finding at its field. Each finding is assigned to its EN 16931 business term, such as BT-1 for the invoice number, and shown with the actual value from the invoice. With the eInvoice Viewer 2.38.0 or later, “Position” at a finding opens the viewer’s tab “Invoice” right at that field, where the finding stands as a card. What you get: you see at once what is wrong and where, and you can tell your supplier exactly what to fix.
• One file is enough. A KoSIT report carries the invoice it checked, so you drop just the report, as XML or as HTML. The explorer also reads the reports of the eInvoice Validator for VAMPIRE, which writes the same format. A search and the switches “BT numbers” and “Findings only” help you find your way in long invoices.
• Honest by design. The explorer does not validate and has no second opinion of its own; it explains the result of the validator. Where its catalog has no plain-language text, it shows the validator’s own message, clearly marked. What you get: explanations you can trust.
• Makes your validator easier to read. With the explorer active, the report views of the eInvoice Validators use its layout, so the check started from the validator or from the viewer is explained the same way.
• The report stays with you. No Java, no outside service, no API key; nothing is stored. Interface and explanations are available in German, English and French.

Requirements

• Plugin: WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later with the extensions dom, libxml and json, and the free eInvoice Viewer for PEPPOL & EN16931 installed and active.
• App: a current browser with JavaScript enabled.
• A report from the official KoSIT validator or from the eInvoice Validator for VAMPIRE.
