eInvoice Viewer — Invoice Monitor

Paid add-on for the eInvoice Viewer · App and WordPress plugin

Incoming and outgoing at a glance, with SEPA file and a package for your tax adviser.

The Invoice Monitor adds two lists to the eInvoice Viewer: incoming for invoices your company has to pay, and outgoing for invoices your company has issued. It recognizes which list an invoice belongs to from your company’s identifiers.

From the lists you create a SEPA credit transfer or a SEPA direct debit, a CSV file, a package for your tax adviser and a document package per invoice.

What the Invoice Monitor does for you

  • The right list

If your VAT ID, tax number or another identifier such as GLN or Leitweg-ID stands at the seller, the invoice goes to outgoing; if it stands at the buyer, to incoming.

  • Original and checksum

The invoice is filed unchanged as the original file, with checksum and time of receipt.

  • Duplicate invoices

It warns when the same invoice number of the same seller is already in the list from another file.

  • Status per invoice

Open, marked for payment or collection, paid or received, passed on, rejected.

  • SEPA files

A credit transfer for marked incoming invoices and a direct debit for marked outgoing invoices, to upload to your online banking.

  • For your tax adviser

The list as a CSV file, a package for your tax adviser and a document package per invoice.

Who the Invoice Monitor is for

For small businesses and freelancers without accounting software who already read their e-invoices in the eInvoice Viewer and want to keep track of open items, payments and what goes to their tax adviser.

App and plugin

In the viewer app and in the WordPress plugin

In the app you unpack the add-on into the folder of the viewer app from version 2.38.0; next to “Settings” the button “Invoice Monitor” then appears. In Chrome and Edge the lists live in a data folder you choose, in Firefox and Safari in the browser’s storage. Next to the one-file app, the single file is enough.

In the WordPress plugin lists and original files are stored in tables of their own in your website’s database, not in the upload folder, so no invoice can be fetched through an address. Only administrators have access.

What the Invoice Monitor deliberately does not do

  • It is no accounting software: it does not post entries, reconcile bank statements or send reminders.
  • It is not a tamper-proof archive; retaining your invoices remains your duty.
  • It does not transfer money itself; you upload the SEPA file to your online banking.

Your invoices, neatly sorted
