Top features
- Positive validation report: every rule of the rule sets used, with its result (passed, failed, not applicable, not checked), the rule set versions, the time of validation and the SHA-256 checksum of the file.
- List of checked rules: the complete report with all rules as JSON and a printable list of the checked rules (HTML, save as PDF from your browser), created in the visitor’s browser.
- Multiple validation across all versions: with “Check against every version” in eInvoice Validator for VAMPIRE, the page checks ZUGFeRD and Factur-X invoices against versions 2.1 to 2.5.2; for this check it switches automatically to VAMPIRE PHP on your server.
The full check, without the invoice leaving the visitor’s computer
Without this add-on, the page of the free eInvoice Validator for VAMPIRE sends every invoice to your website, where VAMPIRE PHP checks it. With VAMPIRE JS, the page checks the invoice in the visitor’s browser instead. VAMPIRE JS is the JavaScript edition of VAMPIRE, our own validation engine. The invoice is not sent to your website, and your visitors can rely on what the page tells them: it stays on their computer.
What makes it special
- The same rule sets as on the server. VAMPIRE JS checks against the same rule sets as VAMPIRE PHP: EN 16931 for UBL and CII, XRechnung, Peppol and the Factur-X and ZUGFeRD profiles. What you get: one check, two editions, the same report.
- The same report your visitors know. The page looks and works as before: drop a PDF or XML file, and the report appears below, with the same explanations and the same view of the invoice. report.xml can be downloaded in the same format as on the server, and with the setting “Positive validation report” switched on, every rule is listed with its result, with the JSON report and a print version on offer. What you get: nothing to relearn, for you or your visitors.
- Your server is relieved. The visitor’s computer does the work, so checks in the browser don’t count against the daily upload limit. The rule packages, about 10 MB, are loaded with the first check on a page and reused for every further check. What you get: more checks with less load on your hosting.
- No silent fallback. If the check in the browser fails, the page says so in red and does not send the invoice to the server instead, because the visitor was told the invoice stays on their computer.
Good to know: while the settings “Check against every edition” or a rule profile are in use, the page checks on the server as before, and the settings page says so. The button “Validate with VAMPIRE” in the eInvoice Viewer keeps checking on the server, and the HTML report is written by VAMPIRE PHP only.
