The free eInvoice Viewer answers whether an invoice can be read. eInvoice Viewer — Inbound Check answers the question that matters before payment: does this invoice fit you? It compares the invoice with your company data and with a supplier list that you keep on your own website, and it shows the result in the viewer’s tab “Inbound Check”.

What makes it special

• Protection against a changed bank account. The add-on looks up the seller in your supplier list and reports when a known supplier suddenly names an account you don’t know yet. It also reports when the invoice names a different payee than the seller. What you get: the most common invoice-fraud pattern is flagged before the money leaves.
• Addressed to you, with all required details. Name, VAT ID and address of the buyer are compared with your company, and the add-on checks whether the VAT details required by EU law and, depending on the setting, by German or Austrian VAT law are present. Order and contract references, currency, due date and seller country are compared with what you stored for the supplier. This is a formal check, not tax advice. What you get: a misaddressed or incomplete invoice is noticed right away.
• Clear findings at the field. Each finding comes with an explanation in full sentences and stands as a card both in the list and directly at the affected field of the invoice. What you get: accounts payable sees what to clarify with the supplier, without guesswork.
• A supplier list that is quick to set up. An administrator adds a new bank account with one click. The list reads and writes CSV files and also reads the creditor export of DATEV and lists with the usual column names, such as those of Lexware and sevdesk. Company data and the supplier list can be maintained in the viewer’s settings dialog, too.

What’s included

• The WordPress plugin as a ZIP file, with a manual in German and English.
• The add-on for the viewer app is a separate download.

The add-on calls no outside service and stores no invoice.

Requirements

• WordPress and PHP 8.2 or later.
• The free eInvoice Viewer for PEPPOL & EN16931, installed and active; version 2.38.0 or later for the tab “Inbound Check”, version 2.37.1 or later for the settings dialog on the viewer page.
• In the app: the viewer app 2.36.0 or later instead of WordPress.
