If you write your invoices in Word or Excel, you should get an XRechnung or ZUGFeRD invoice from them. You set up your template once and then fill it in as usual.
The Office add-in is in preparation. It requires Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 or later.
This description reflects the current plan. Details may still change before release.
Planned features
You mark in your template where invoice number, date, customer and line items are. The mapping is saved in the document.
An added or deleted line item needs no new mapping, because the table is read as a whole.
The add-in recalculates all amounts. If the document is off by even one cent, it shows the difference instead of creating a wrong e-invoice.
Your template produces an XRechnung or a ZUGFeRD invoice.
Who it is for
They have written invoices in Word for years and want to keep doing so.
It does its billing in Excel and will need e-invoices for business customers.
